40 Days of Prayer
We have entered a time of discernment regarding our Shepherd Selection process. We've begun 40 days of prayer, which will be followed by the shepherd nomination and confirmation process. This is an intentionally slow process and your prayers throughout this time are greatly appreciated. Each day's prayer can be found on social media and via email.
Trunk or Treat
It’s time to get ready for our Trunk or Treat Block Party on October 24 from 3–5 p.m.! This is our biggest community outreach of the year and we need your help.
-Donate candy
-Decorate your trunk and hand out candy
-Volunteer to serve snow cones, man a bounce house, or help folks find their way around.
-Welcome our neighbors, run candy, set up, or clean up.
If donating, please make checks out to Glenwood COC: Children’s Ministry–Trunk or Treat. Candy can be dropped off in the red bucket in the Worship Center foyer.
Karing Kitchen
Our next opportunity to serve will be Monday, October 12, from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Christian Homes & Family Services Fall Dinner

Young at Heart Area Wide
Young at Heart (ages 55+), West Erwin Church of Christ (420 W. Erwin St, Tyler) is excited to host an Area Wide dinner on October 15 at 6 p.m. Please RSVP to the Glenwood Church office by October 11.
Baby Shower
A Baby shower for Paige Gaston-Neel and Christopher Neel will be on Sunday, October 18, from 1–3 p.m. in the Glenwood Gathering Place. The couple is registered at Walmart and Amazon.
Ironworks Men's Meeting
Men of Glenwood, join us for our next Ironworks meeting in the Gathering Room at 6 p.m. on October 20.
Adult Bible Class | The Covenant Family
We've launched a new year-long Bible class called The Covenant Family. This is an in-depth look at the stories of Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph found in Genesis 12-50. Classes meet in the Conference Room, the Gathering Place, and Adult Classes 1, 4, and 6.
Sermon Series | Be Still and Go
As we spend 40 days in prayer for our church and our church's leadership, Benjamin is teaching through a sermon series on prayer. Be Still and Go calls Glenwood to pray prayers that help us sit in the presence of God and move with the purposes of God's Kingdom.
Ladies' Bible Class
Ladies' Bible Class has resumed meeting on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. Join us as we study Kristi McLelland's book Luke in the Land: Walking with Jesus in His First-Century World.
Wednesday Night Bible Class
Paul rarely wrote a letter to a single individual. The personal touch we find in the Pastoral Letters is worth spending some time pondering. Join us on Wednesday nights at 6:30 as we study 1 Timothy, Titus, and 2 Timothy throughout the rest of the summer.
Meal Train for Glenwood Youth Ministry
Wednesday night is an important part of our youth and student ministry. Each week they gather together for a meal in the Cove before class, and we need your help in feeding this growing group! If interested, click here for the Meal Train, bring a monetary donation to the church office, or contact Andy Albright. Please feel free to stay, dine with, and get to know this great group of kids.
